About Me

Welcome to MountainStoke.com,  I’m Matt—a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who’s lucky enough to call Colorado home. My love for the outdoors began on the icy ski slopes of the East Coast, where I spent every winter perfecting my turns and dreaming of deeper powder and bigger mountains. That dream eventually led me out west, and I haven’t looked back since.

Before mountain biking was even a thing, I was racing around on a BMX bike, and as soon as I got my hands on my first real mountain bike, I was hooked. Today, Colorado’s rugged trails are my playground, and the advancements in mountain biking have made exploring these wild places even more thrilling.

Camping has been a constant in my life, and I still aim to spend as many nights as possible in a tent or, even better, under a sky full of stars. I’m always looking for ways to connect with nature and test my limits, whether that’s paddling out on a quiet lake, navigating a whitewater river, hiking new trails, or taking the 4×4 out to reach those hard-to-access spots.

One of my greatest joys in recent years has been sharing these adventures with my family. Teaching my son to ski has been an absolute blast, and I love seeing the outdoors through his eyes. There’s nothing quite like seeing him conquer a trail or take on his first turns on the mountain—it’s the best kind of adventure.

I created this blog to share my experiences, offer honest reviews, and give tips to help others get out there and enjoy everything nature has to offer. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoorsperson or a family looking for your next adventure, I hope you’ll find inspiration here. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all!

See you out there,  Matt
